YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Director, Demand Generation will be responsible for developing and executing demand generation strategies to drive business growth for our products and services. This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will work closely with marketing team members, sales leaders, product leaders, and senior leadership. This role will lead and oversee the development, prioritization, and execution of key transformational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies and a proven track record in successful demand generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development: 

  • Develop and implement demand strategies to drive awareness, engagement, leads, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Stay up to date with innovative marketing trends to identify opportunities and new potential demand channels.
  • Proactively analyze and understand the competitive landscape to identify and develop new growth opportunities. 
  • Content Distribution Strategy: Create and build a content distribution strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels to reach the desired audience through measurable tactics. Collaborate with peers and specialized teams to develop content strategies that fuel lead generation campaigns and support sales efforts. Content types can include: social media posts, whitepapers, fact sheets, event presentations, email campaigns, blogs, and sales presentations.

Campaign Management: 

  • Ensure timely execution of demand generation action plans through precise project management and stakeholders' involvement.
  • Monitor and analyze performance overall against lead targets and other marketing goals and make continual recommendations for optimization and growth
  • Develop and execute against short and long-term campaign roadmaps and strategies

Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Develop processes to scale strategic initiatives with accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Carefully analyze data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of demand marketing campaigns.
  • Use data from Marketo, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, 6Sense, and custom dashboards to analyze the impact of campaign efforts. Communicate strategy, funnel, or creative wins, and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization. 
  • Report and present the results of B2B marketing efforts to key stakeholders. 

Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate with marketing team members and other cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of each strategic initiative.
  • Work across teams in a creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful way

Team Leadership: 

  • Manage a calendar of events and keeping team on track with effective communications of any changes
  • Drive a continuous improvement mentality with an open mind, also through rigorous and meaningful A/B testing.

Budget Management: 

  • Manage allocated marketing budget and identify resources to maximize lead gen performance.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within a B2B SaaS, cybersecurity environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand generation or running demand campaigns and leading projects 
  • Demonstrated history of coaching and developing talent 
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with performance marketing – especially Digital Demand Generation (SEO, Email, Paid Social Media, Webinars).
  • Strong understanding of demand generation best practices, including lead nurturing and scoring
  • Experience providing Marketing support for an integrated ABM strategy
  • Deep familiarity with marketing automation tech stack, optimal configuration, operations, tuning.
  • Reporting of marketing funnel, and performance metrics, marketing contribution to sales pipeline.
  • Highly results oriented, analytical and data-driven. Capable of dissecting complex data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Strong and thoughtful collaborative approach with people influencing skills
  • Effective presentation and communication skills to work with diverse and globally distributed teams.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving industry
